Gang,
Oh, I know I will get it for this one, but it's, "I used to" ; not, "I use
to." It is bad enough when bad grammar gets posted once, but when it is in
a subject line, everyone is forced to read it over and over!
I agree that the QRPer who claims to be in a different catagory because he
uses commercial equipment is missing the point. Ham radio has lots of
activities. The different areas are in competition for our time/attention,
but we aren't in competition with each other except during contests or
perhaps when there is a rare DX on the air. For the past several years, low
sunspot numbers have made the bands rather empty, so there has been room for
all, except during contests (or on 7040!). Some QRPers just like the low
power operating. Some like building little rigs and operating them. Why
create distinctions? Next, we'll have wars over which end of a boiled egg we
open.
