Hello Friends,
Last week the city government I work for changed out some batteries used in
a giant UPS for our mainframe computer. They were replaced not because they
were no good, but rather because it was "time." Well, I managed to bring
four of these monsters home and now would really like to know what I have.
I checked them and they all show 12.8 volts on the button. They are labeled
as follows:
Dynasty by Johnson Controls
UPS12-300
12 volt sealed rechareable battery
They measure 13" by 6 3/4" by 8 1/2" and weigh about 75 lbs each. Is is
possible that I have some 300 AH gel cells? To be sure, these ain't no
backpackin' batteries.
