Hi friends,

Americans have the reputation of being a kind and a generous people, and
one way you can quantify that is through personal experience. Since my
last posting here, seeking equivalents for the IRF 510 or 511, I have been
overwhelmed by the kindness of so many people stateside offering to send me
the part. I really would like to publically thank you all, especially to
Steve Miller (thanks Steve, I'll look forward to receiving them), to Gary
Widmayer, William Hibbert and Ron Evans and others who have so generously
offered. My breath has been taken away........What can I say except many,
many thanks.

I have the little rig (38S) percolating nicely, giving out about 300mW,
nice side tone, the rig hisses nicely, signal on a nearby receiver sounds
ok and it moves up the band when I turn the tuner. BUT, I have no receive
signal from 30 meters. I've checked the diodes etc, so could this be the
toroids need checking (I may have left some enamel on the wire??). Anyone
any ideas?

Thank you for the bandwidth
