Yesterday, Doug worked eleven hours putting the Spring issue of QRPp
together, and he is not finished yet. He thinks it will be about 80
pages, and in spite of, or because of?, the subscription rate increase,
to permit first class mailing of the issues, more bang for the buck.
And, in addition, Doug has been busy bagging parts for the 38 Special,
and getting them to me for mailing. But, alas, or relief, depending on
how you look at it, we are out of boards. The total number of 38
Special kits shipped, including the ones I will mail tomorrow: ONE
THOUSAND, thanks to all of you who so graciously participate in our
NorCal club projects.
We have five hundred more boards ordered, and they will be here on the
21st. Doug will start bagging parts, and by the end of the month, I
will be mailing out more kits. "Man and Woman work from sun to sun, but
NorCal's work is never done." Ha ha, if you will permit that fractured
quote, hopefully a bit of levity.
The downside of this activity is that Doug is behind in posting
memberships and renewals into the database. As soon as he catches his breath, he will respond to those who have inquired to either of us as to
the status of their memberships and renewals. With the disasterous bulk
mailing of the December issue, many of you have wondered, and several
have asked us to check your status. And that we will, but please bear
with us. And please fret not that we might be stressed. Not so, "busy
hands are happy hands," the NorCal motto.
As for me, I am getting a gratifying amount of e-mail, and well over a
hundred letters a week. I am behind, darn it, but catching up, and
will. (I won't say how far behind. Embarassing.)
