George,
    I agree with you about those connectors somewhat. At least the
rubber ones are designed for several amps, but the problem still remains
that in most cases you have to buy them in pairs. Although if you go
through the industrial supply houses, you can buy the seperate parts of
the Molex types, but most of us just get them at Radio Shack-convenience
has it's price.
     The Power Pole connectors do not have male and female ends ( or plug
and socket ends or + and - ends). The end result is that any connector
will mate to any other one- with the correct polarity, and ONLY the
correct polarity, unless you break the housing.
     Our club has bought and installed over 400 of these that I know of,
and I haven't heard on one instance where they have been cross-polarized,
if the contacts are installed correctly in the connector.
     It is not necessarily the ultimate connector, but I sure like them a
lot more than anything else for the money. It is just too bad they are
not more readily available.
