Barry,
Finally got you. I turned on the computer and went into the e-mail. I
clicked to get mail and I was reading your last post about the graduation
party. I was just reading it and not paying attention until I realised that
tonight was the night. I looked over at the clock and saw the time was
0020. I thought no way---but lets listen. I turned on the QRP+ and it was
set at 7.040. A loud station was calling CQ so I hesitated for a moment and
then thought the band sounds good. I spun the dial and it stopped at
7.112.1 and I hear CQ de WD4MSM. Clear channel so I called back and you
gave me a 339. Your signal was 559 and I might add, a nice fist to copy.
Another one for the record book and I'm glad you were there to get the QSO.
Not 2 minutes later I hear the Don Don Don! and the international stuff
took over the frequency. Good thing I didn't stay too long with that guy on
7.040!
Good luck on the CW, your off to a good start and on your party day!
QSL is in the mail for you going thru the US Buro. Hope to catch you again.
