Barry...I'd guess the differences are the component tolerances. The
chokes are probably at least 5% and the tuning diode is probably
10% or better, considering it is biing used in a type of service
for which it was not designed. Overall, I'm sort of amazed that the
rigs are coming out so closely, all things considered.
