Hi,
Just finished construction on my second Sierra, this one from
Wilderness with the KC2 digital display. All went well and it
works fine. I've spent alot of time tweeking the alignment
adjustments to get it just right. The write up in the manual works
but I'm not exactly sure how all the adjustments interact. At one point I
ended up receiving one side band and transmitting on the other, not
great if QSOs are a goal. I've got the rig with the 40 meter band module
where I want it now, but when I start alignment on the 30 module every thing\
is just a little off (like WWV on 10.000). Do I tweak the band module xtal
adjust???
I quess what I'm asking is "Has anyone else been down this same road" and
come up with a procedure to get all the adjustments right. With the VFO, BFO,
xmit offset, dial and KC2 display offset, band module xtal adjust, PMO
bandpass, TX and RX bandpass all interacting, I just may be chasing my tail.
I have been using a Kenwood ts-850 which is "right on" as a reference.
Any help or advice is welcome.

Steve -WW7Y-
