Perfect for the QRPer -- not so perfect for high-power operation. The
ARRL Board of Directors, through its Volunteer Resource Committee,
considered adopting a high-current connector standard. They decided not
to make any specific standard recommendation, at least not at this time.

This was due in part to some input I had given them. Early last year, I
was approached by a member of an SAE committee that is developing a
recommendation or standard for a high-current accessory connector for
automobiles. If this comes to fruition, IMHO this will be a "defacto"
12-volt, high current connector standard that will see widespread use
and widespread "aftermarket" distribution.
