Hi Gang,

Long time no speak. I've been up to my aligator in ... You get the
idea.

On the way home tonight I hear the RTTY stuff very loud on my SW-30. I
zipped around a little and then worked EA7AQL - Tony. I had a little
ragchew even. I kept sending 73 to end the QSO and not hang up the DX
stn, but he came back a couple of times with questions about the rig and
being mobile, and stuff like that. It was very rewarding for a change.
The band actually sounded decent.

I've been running a side-swiper key (home brew of course) in the car
since I sold my Heathkit keyer and brought the MFJ keyer into the house
shack. It's a very tuff copy for the other guy and also very hard to key
and drive like that. As I hit bumps in the road, etc. I mess up my fist
and have to keep appologizing.

So tonight I finished up my TiCK external keyer in an Altoids tin. I
came out OK and works great. All I need now is a 1/8" stereo plug or
adapter for my paddles which are all 1/4 " - Oh Well, there's always
something.

Well I'll let you all get back to your regularly scheduled program. I
miss chatting with the gang since I stopped getting QRP-L at work. If
anyone wishes to send me mail and get a reply more dependably, just send
a message to my work address at :
kf2ph@bnl.gov rather that this address.

Have a great week and all. 72 for now
Nick - kf2ph
