Fox - Az Shutout!

Well rats! No fox here last night!

As I headed upstairs earlier in the evening, my wife asked me where I was
going. "I will be right back down in a moment". After all working CA
from AZ is about as difficult as falling off a log, right?

NOT!

I could tell by the hunters that a fox was indeed out there. About 45
minutes into the hunt, I called up the grand master of fox hunters,
Floyd, NQ7X and compared notes.

Yep, we both heard all the same players..... KH6RF/MM, WA8KHA, XE1YJL
(all QRO ops hanging around the area) as well as other QRP hounds such as
VE5RC, N2VPK, W8RU, N4RA, KB9IUA, N4SO, K0EVZ and several others.....
But no fox.

The skip was to long.

There was some hope for a moment as I heard a close in NM station work
the fox. I hoped the band might shift a bit.

Two hours later, and maybe, just maybe a few dits of the fox to show for
it. So much for the short haul capabilities of a big loop! Oh,
well.....

Bring on the next fox!
