Howdy From Texas!
The 'Texas Yahoos' wish to put forth an official challenge to all
contestants in the up comming QTTF. We will put up a wager of 10 lbs of
the best Texas style Bar-B-Q ribs with sauce shipped to the highest
scoring team anywhere in the lower 48 states. Teams must follow the
letter of the rules and operate from the same location, single
transmitter on the air at a time, etc...etc.
The 'Texas Yahoos' team will consist of myself-K1OJ, K5NZ, K5ZTY,
KK5LD, KM5AO, W5SB, and perhaps a guest op if anyone can find their way
to Possum Hollow, Texas. We will be located about 45 miles north of
Houston in the deep back woods of Montgomery County. We will be running
homebrew equipment, battery powered, and wire antennas. Secret planning
meetings at covert locations are already scheduled.
So get your teams and wagers together and identify yourselves befor the
contest. Any takers???
