Thanks for the 6L6 reference, Nate. The Glowbugs page
(http://www.barepower.net/~carreiro/Glowbugs/Glowbug.htm) has a 6L6
schematic, and is also a great resource for other tube-related rigs.

Along the same line, I'd be really interested in a "kit" of parts for
some simple, QRP tube-based projects, equivalent to the kitted projects
coming from the clubs and small companies we see in here.

Call me lazy, but this would be the easiest way for me to get a small
tube-based tx or rx project together and operational. I have a great
junk/parts cabinets in the basement, but they've long since been purged
of the octal sockets, large RFCs, tubes, large valued 1/2 resistors, and
most other stuff associated with tube-based rigs. It would be more than
a little effort to get re-tooled in the basic building blocks of the
pre-transistor era. Guess the best way would be to hit the 'fest flea
markets with a vengence.
