I've seen an advert for a Heathkit HW-100, without a PSU, and I
wondered whether anyone out there has any opinions on whether it would
be worth the effort of buying it and building a PSU? There is a
circuit diagram in the handbook, but it is not the normal "13.8 Volt
DC" type of course as the rig needs HT and various other supplies
associated with valves.
Any comments on the suitability of the HW-100 as a QRP rig would be
appreciated. What would you expect to pay for such a rig? (as little
as possible I suspect HI ;-) ) Does anyone know where a suitable
PSU might be obtained (This is my lazy side talking now) and for how
much?
Thanks - Dave (G0DJA)
