FOX report (kinda)

Well, earlier in the evening, I could just hear the N/T Fox on 7112 khz,
but not well enough to get anything but his QRP-L number, #642. I think
he could hear me better, but after several exchanges and queries back and
forth I gave it up.

There is some TV or CATV carrier buzz right on that frequency, so it was
really difficult to pull him thru. Didn't even get his callsign, so
whomever you are, little FOX buddy, thanks for trying so hard. It was
just not to be. All this around 7042 khz or so.

Just a few minutes ago, around 0430 UTC or so, I did hear tomorrow's FOX
Bob, N6WG. Had a short QSO with him and then Paul, WA9PWP broke in to say
hello. He must also be on this list, but I'm not familiar with the call.
First Bob couldn't hear him, then they both faded out for me so I QRTed.
In just a few minutes, old 40m had changed enough for Bob and Paul to
have a short QSO while I listened. Listening is perhaps the biggest part
of being a successful QRPer, ya know.

The Spanish SSB QRM got to be too much, and Bob had to sign too. Guys,
thanks for the brief but enjoyable QSO, and hope to see Bob tomorrow
night when it counts!

What a great bunch of guys frequent this list!

72 to all,

Gary
