Greetings from Alaska,

I was wondering. I know full well that 40 feet is not the "correct"
height for a 2 element 40 meter beam. Given that I need my signal to
travel 1500 miles just to get to Seattle and given that the take-off
angle of a 40 meter beam at 40 feet will be messed up from optimum, what
can I expect if I spend the money for a beam? Am I wasting my dollars?
Sure, I can beat my inverted V (maybe) but just what would I gain (no
pun intented)?

It is surely a shame I cannot put up tall towers but many of us have to
compromise. I feel lucky to have two 40 foot towers on my lot.

Thank you, one and all.

73,
Jim
