These don't change much over time. A cheap 5-year-old

Right you are, Bob...
I'm trimming back the station and that does NOT mean the referance
library. 99% of what I read in the old books is still valid. 101
ways to use a GDO and 101 ways to use your ham test equipment is
every bit as good today as it ever was.
Most folks in this group not only would'nt shy away from an old
HW-8, it's a 'vogue' item and works well to this day. The information
we thirst for does'nt "go bad on the shelf".
Have a look at a project or concept in a 30-40 year old QST... Even with
a tube project, bet a good solid-state substitute can be found.
W3DZZ, G5RV, W6SAI, HB9CV are all calls we instantly connect with great
antennas. Pretty old designs...and still valid.
Bottom line...Spend the money on good information.
Thanks, Bob
