Hello again gang,
All of this talk about the Wilderness Sierra along with the fantastic
accomplishments attributed to it have lead me to wonder, is it really as
good as it seems? I have a TenTec Cubbie (Argo556) and I really love it.
But every journal I open, every magazine a puruse (sp?) has a picture of
the Wilderness Sierra and KC-2. Dick Fisher mentioned in the March
WorldRadio that Fran and Paul used Sierras for the distance record on 40M.
I am surely starting to wonder if the Ten Tec ready for its next owner!
Can someone who has both the TT adn the Sierra please give me a comparison
of:
receiver noise
pleasure to use ratio
relative pain-in-the-butt ratio of band module changing
any other impressions.
I rarely use SSB. The bands are at times super jammed up. It seems that
the only useable SSB band is 15M.
