I noticed that when this thread was first posted, someone (don't remember
who) had posted as a quote from another list. I seem to recall that
that the person downtrodding the QRP movement was removed from this
list a few weeks ago, therefore, probably some sour grapes involved
in putting false information out on the homebrew list. On occasion
I have heard some chirpy signals, usually when the chirpy operation
occurs, it is when the battery drops below critical level and the
instability occurs. Even the best of riceboxes will do this when
the voltage drops too low. Overall, I thing the signals are among
oooops --- Overall, I think the qrp signals are among the best
on the bands. Not to worry gang.
