Hello Gang,
I am very impressed with the high number of folks worked
by some of the other fox. When I can run that many
Q's in 2 hrs. I will have "Arrived", CW-wise anyway.
These fox inspire me to continue my study of the CW language.
Now a for a few words from the Fox, point of view.
I have some suggestions for those folks trying to
work the fox with smaller signals.
First, don't give up.
I called CQ several times with no takers,
and no QRM, a clear shot at the fox.
2, xit just a little, this is especially good in
pile ups. When 50 signals are dead on the same frequency,
and at such a low volume, it is hard to pick one out.
3.Pay attention and learn to QSY.
I announced a QSY, and gave the freq. change.
Ex. QSY UP 1.
This worked very well to get away from the QRM.
That is until he figured out that the pile up had
moved.
As for me, I will learn to use the DSP better.
This made a real difference in fighting the QRM.
I will continue to practice CW. The more I do
the better I get. CW came hard to me and
I earn my expertice one dit at a time.
The more I do the better I like it.
