Heres a message i got this AM from a former list member and friend Bob,

My best answer is that I do have a problem with RF output on my second
38s kit. I havnt done enuf looking yet, but it seems to be putting out
allot of RF off 30M band. I rarely make a contact with the best TC2
setting I can find.
And I did solder X2 & X3 to ground but didnt notice any difference. I
used a 15w tip and was carefull. ( The tip u gave me Bob ) :-)

Did you solder the crystal cases to the pads on the board? If so how did
