Judging by the amount of activity, I think that the ScQRPions have a winner
on their hands!
I had family and parental duties to fulfill on Saturday, so I was not able
to FMBO in the field. Still, I managed to carve out about 3 1/2 hours to
operate from the home QTH. I was going to move the rig onto the patio
table next to the pool, but it was cooler inside, so I stayed there. The
multipliers were zilch so the score was QRPp, but the fun quotient was in
the six figures:
52 QSOs from 28 states/provinces/countries.
Highlights:
Hearing all those familiar and famous callsigns, calling me!
Working WS4S with a beautiful signal from TN using 200 mW.
Actually having N4BP hear me on two bands.
The occasional break away from contest mode to send and receive best
wishes.
Lots of good fists and good operators.
Feeling like a fox -- calling CQ and getting five replies -- answering one
-- then hearing nobody!
Copying "10F" and sending "68F"
Hearing lots of outstanding QRP signals -- who says QRP stations are hard
to copy?
See you next year,
Mike K1MG
