Dear Friends,

For those of you interested in HAARP... I would suggest that you pick up
the book ANGELS DON'T PLAY THIS HAARP at your local bookstore. It has
been over a year since I read it so I may have the title slightly
incorrect. The bookstore will know the book if you have them do a search
on HAARP. It is a thought provoking book although not entirely
objective. You may want to read it and then decide whether you want to
participate in any aspect of the project. It is the opinion of *some*
experts that burning holes in the ionosphere is not an altogether good
thing to do. But I believe that, at the very least, any unsuspecting
QRPers that might want to participate should be aware that there are some
that feel the HAARP is dangerous and should not be funded. And this
opposing group does include many scientists, engineers and...
congressmen.

Just food for thought. One thing for sure... this is NOT the forum to
debate HAARP, although Jay's info was certainly appropriate since we, as
QRPers, could conceivably be affected by HAARP operation.
