Hey Gang, I have 2 separate gel cell batteries by Panasonic. One is a
12V, 6.5Ah/20HR and the other one is the one that I want to take
backpacking and camping with me. It is pretty small and lightweight,
it is a Panasonic 12V,1.3Ah/20HR. The 6.5Ah one is only reading 2
volts, I tried charging it overnigh, but the voltage was still low,
increased maybe a small amount. I guess I've used it a lot in bad
wx situations on my 2 mtr ht.
I used my little 1.3Ah one on my 49'er and it discharged it also. It
was reading about a volt or two low, now I have charged it a little and it
is reading a little over 12V, my question is how long to charge a battery?
I guess maybe 10 hrs, according to how low the voltage is? Anyone have
any ideas for a battery charger to homebrew? Best 72 DE Matt, AE4JM
