Replaced BFO RFC (L6) with specified unit(10uh) and
mounted it on foil side because of clearance problems
with the xtal... Seated the xtal against the board so
it wouldn't wiggle around...(Who wants a wiggley BFO..)
The choke is lying down tight against the board too...
No more wiggle there....
KAWABUNGA!!!!!....A receiver!!! BFO tunes smoothly...
Antenna circuit peaks....mixer peaks...no regen....
Zounds Jeeves...40m signals....
Why do I hear no CW at the low end of the dial????
BIG BIG bcst stns.....Blocking the RX...(Where's the
AGC??? ...Oh haven't got to that step yet!!)
How about the hi end ???....
Ha!!! The dial tunes bassackwards because of the mixing
scheme!!!! CW is lower and CCW is higher!!! Tune CCW....
There they are!!! CW sigs... Big hairy ones....Leedle wee ones!!!
(Must be near 7040.. :-) )
