Hello Gang,
I really expexted the thing to work. I did all of the tests and
they came out good. I reset the chip just like the book said
and also like the update said (using more buttons).
The keyer sennds out a stream of dits from both sides of the
paddles. When the paddles are squeezed, the stream changes
to dahs, and on both occasions, the speed pot has no effect
on the stream.
I am running the keyer on a diode protected 5 volt supply
derived from a 9 volt battery through a regulator for a
4.80 volt( actual reading) supply.
Since I get not OK, and can't reset, I suspect the U1 chip.
Does Idiom Press have an E-mail address? Phone no? Web site?
I'd hate to just send them the chips without any
notice.
