The chips for the Island Memory Keyer are now available separately, at a
cost of $8.00 post paid.
If you have access to an extensive selection of parts, you may wish to
purchase the pre-programmed Motorola 68HC705J1A microcontroller and
93LC66 16x256 serial EEPROM chips by themselves. The two ICs are
supplied with full documentation, allowing you to "roll your own" keyer.
Given variations in component tolerances and quality, we probably won't
be able to help you if you run into trouble, but if you know what you're
doing you'll have a memory keyer for $8.00.
