Gang,
I've been enjoying the FSFD "contest". Now I'm receiving QSL cards which
I want to use toward a "QRP" endorsement on my WAS certificate. Here's a
problem I've noticed: Some of my cards WILL NOT COUNT toward WAS or a QRP
endorsement! The reason is that ARRL REQUIRES "confirmations that clearly
confirm two-way contact...". That means the words "two-way" or the
abbreviation "2X" must appear (usually in or near the "mode" box).
Examples are "two-way CW" or "2X CW" or "CW 2X QRP". Some cards have the
appropriate words printed. On the cards that don't (like mine) you must
ADD THE WORDS.
I'm going to have to return 4 cards so far, and ask for replacements
that have the required words added. Altered cards are not allowed, so
the original ones are NO GOOD!
So please, guys & gals, fill in your cards correctly so they will
count toward WAS.
