Gang...it had to be too good to be true. There is just a bit
of an "aw sh.." with the filter. Unfortunately, the Tx offset
seems to be exactly 800 Hz on the other side of the passband, not
where it is supposed to be. I thought I had checked it out, and
was sure that everything was ok, but it isn't.
So don't build it yet!! I need to find out what it takes to
get the passband flipped over to the other side, so that
the nasty problem that I have goes away. I got suspicious when
I was working a station, and he gave me a 589, and I was only
hearing him 419 or worse. When I checked on the other sideband,
he was stronger than my dog's breath!! Nuts!!
Anyway, I'll get to work on the fix and post to the group
when I have the solution.
72.... and sorry for any problems this may have caused.
On the other hand, without problems, there can be no progress!! SM 2/16/1997
