Hi Howard and gang,
I received renewal reminders from the W5YI group and
ARRL. Both arrived in the mail on the same day. W5YI
would submit my renewal electronically for a fee of $6.00.
The ARRL simply provided a form 610 and an envelope
pre-addressed to the FCC. Being the cheap, retired, old
crab that I am, I filled out the 610 and mailed to the FCC
in the provided envelope. Wham...New license arrived
in about ten days! There are no fees to renew your Amateur
License :-)
