Finally got on AOL today -- after three days of trying, including programming
in daily "flashdance" mail sessions at 1/2 hour frequency -- and snarfed up
all the mail. Man, we do talk, don't we?
I haven't seen the list of mods what everyone's been talkin' about, but I
figure that there's one in there after another. But I got some ideas on my
own after 3 days of not being able to get ideas from others.
I was looking at what was happening with IRF 510s in my particular NC38s
(which still works, even after much abuse and losing some metal off the
board) and decided that, first chance I get, I needed to turn the DC off to
Q2 when not txing. Thus, I looked at the circuit for the "Oner" tx and
realized that right there on that little board was everything that I needed.
I'll let you know how it turns out when I figure out how it turns out.
And using the VN10KN tx instead of the IRF510 may make it possible to run 1
watt and also get past using the inverters as output devices... which may
also make tuning easier. I'll let you know... probably after 3 more days of
waiting, which will come after 3 days of blowing stuff up.

..... did you catch how the Chinese news agencies made it look like a bunch of
turbaned ruffians were violating the peace of Eastern Turkistan in Gulja? My
sources say that the demonstration became violent after the Chinese
police/army fired into the crowd. Also learned that the jails are empty...
although 300 people have disappeared. And... for those who think that there
are no problems in China... three highschool students were taken from their
school and shot. And the Chinese made the parents of the children pay for the
bullets. Nice people. Definitely need to get favored nation status, ne?
