Yes, you can renew for no charge (except postage) by sending the renewal
form to the FCC directly. The FCC forms 610, 610-A, 610-B and 610-V (as
well as others) can be obtained at the following Web address:
http://www.fcc.gov/formpage.html
I renewed my license and that of the club station for which I am the
trustee during December, 1996. The 610 and 610-B forms I downloaded
where PCX files. A fee of $6.00 impresses me as being over priced.
