Gang,
Just finished my 38 special , ( well kinda ) , had to see if I could keep
the smoke in on first pwr up , IT STAYED IN !!! And the rx'er came to life
!!!!!!! ITS ALIVE , ITS ALIVE..... At least I can hear my own sig. from
my TS-430s, am waiting for the 1K and 100K pots along with a few other
parts to arrive in the mail , should be here on Tuesday. So then I will be
able to fine tune this baby, BTW , was able to get TWO peaks on RX, without
having to take any windings off of T-1. But will have to wait for the other
parts to arrive so I can finish the job.. So far so good !!!!!! This is
the stock rig, no mods..... yet?...The rx seems to be up aroung 10.151,
should it be that high in the band ?? Since I don't have the 100k tuning
pot , I am unable to check the bandwidth. Anyway to bring this puppy down
lower in freq.? Something to do with L-1 I bet..... Now where did I put my
notes on this subject, THIS ROOMS A MESS, HOW AM I GONNA FIND ANYTHING WITH
ALL THIS CLUTTER ???? How can building such a small rig create such a BIG
mess ??? Can't wait til tomorrow when the band opens up, so I can hear
some other sigs.... WHAT? I promised the YL we'd go skiing tomorrow ????
Oh geeeeezzzzzzzzz !!!!!!! Oh well , can't do anything with the rig yet
