Spent bout 6 hrs so far looking for new QRP DXCC countries...4 new ones for
new total of 85. Interesting experiment tho...was using 5W and worked 30+
contacts in EU,AF,SA,NA,Asia and thought I'd try 1W. On 20M called
AH6MZ...no problem...called JF3CNN still ok. Wow, lets go for 0.5W...called
and worked JA9XBW, JI3BFC and JR3KQJ at 1/2W, all within 16 minutes around
0115Z !!! Couple repeats but 100% exchange.
EQF logging program gave mileage to the J's as 5752/0.5=11,504 miles/watt!!
Not bad for QRP at the bottom of SS cycle or were they up today?
PS. Antenna is 3 element Explorer at 45'...rig=TS850
