Al,

Two things that I will do for a rare state. Send him a card in a
standard envelope. Enclose as SASE. I will do this only if I
really need a card or it is rare like WY, RI, AK, HI, ....

Make sure you fill out the entire card. Put date and time in UTC.
This is a given and shouldn't have to be mentioned on this group. :-)

Also put in a nice note saying all kinds of glowing things like
he was strong you had to replace all the NE602's in the front end,
nice fist and good operator, .... make your contact stand out among
all the boring ones that he did day in and day out.

It works for me.

FYI to qrp-l

I love the group and felt that posting his time and location would help.
I know that he must have had a darn good receiver and he was real strong
so propagation was favorable. I think about a dozen or so went after him
and got him. He was QRP compared to some other stations that I heard at
the same time. :-) Was KW or 1W OM????

And don't anyone make any remark to him about giving out all 599s.
It don't matter. I'll take 'em and I know that I was that strong. :-)

dit dit

p.s. Like someone else who posting a siting to the list. Don't/do not/
say RIGHT NOW. Please post the time in UTC. I may be sitting at the
terminal logged on etc. but most likely not. The mail header sometimes
lies to me or it is in some time zone in Central Africa that I don't
know f
know off the top of my head whether to add or subtract +N or -N where
0<=N<=24.

Just for convenience and a standard we all can live with. Please.
Pretty please. Pretty please with sugar on it. :-)
