Well,

got lost in the cave this morning.. still haven't caught up.
..suppose to be at work about 3 hours ago.. had to stop by first
job and check on a computer.

well while attempting to put in a couple of parts and play with
the NW8020 during the contest (got about each DX.. one to two
calls.. love that little rig), I found the next thing I knew.. all
the parts were on the board.. still not sure how that happened.

Problem is that the parts list says 56 .01 blue caps. I received
56 of them. I ended up with one left after the mod (uses 2). I
check each hole on the board.. no extra holes.. checked the parts
layout and it has 53 parts that I counted, same as I placed.
HELP.. anyone got an idea?

Next thing, wasn't going to power it on.. did want to make it to
work.. but I have absolutely no willpower sometimes, and this am
was obviously one of those times. I powerd it up.. no smoke, no
amperage reading on the supply. checked the 5 volt regulator.. no
power. well traced the power path.. low and behold.. there is a
break in the path where you wire in the on off switch.. if it
ain't jumpered, no power. Jumpered it.. got 5 volts. I tried my
mutlitmeter.. and couldn't get an amperage measurement.. but not
sure mine goes anywhere close to the range it was suppose to be at
(?5-25ma something like that). got most of the parts on the
case.. just have to install the two SO239s and wire it up...

Sure hope it works :-)

I think if it works.. it will work for ever. I checked each solder
joint as I made it with a high powered magnifying glass, then
again after each seaction, then again when I was done. Also
checked parts placements a number of times.. this doesn't
guarantee anything.. it is still real possible I messed up.

I really enjoyed building it.. thinking if I can sell something
else, may get the QRP version.

thanks again LDG and Scott.

I may have some time to play.

How many people who where in on the group buy got the AT-11 going?
