Gang,
As I was sitting working on my new AT-11 kit, I had the following
thoughts about how much QRP-L affects me:
-The kit is from the recent group-buy, (thanks to Scott
Rosenfeld)-QRP-L.
-I'm using my magnifier/lamp from Danmark- thanks to someone from
QRP-L. (I really need it with the PCB in this kit; especially poor
silkscreening, IMHO).
-I'm using solder from Electronic Goldmine - recommended by
several QRP-Lers.
-Using a soldering iron - recommended by QRP-Lers.
-When finished, the tuner will be used with my NW40 xcvr (Roy
Gregson), recommended by several QRP-Lers.
-The tuner will be powered by an "Allen Bond" power supply, as
will the xcvr. Heard about these on QRP-L.
-Will work into my "yet to be erected" shortened attic dipole,
ala
HamCalc, talked about several times on QRP-L.
On and on, but you get the picture. I owe much to Chuck Adams and to the
entire group here on QRP-L. I'm no "spring chicken", having been
licensed for about 45 years, but this group helps keep me young!
Thank you all and keep up the great spirit found here.
Thanks for the BW.
