Thanks for the coding info for the shaft encoder, Laura.
I'm thinking I'd like to try doing an implementation using
the I2C bus protocol. Could manage the shaft encoder that
way and also service an LCD display, among other things.
I've got a DDS board up and running but it's full of
birdies, hi hi. I'm using a 10baseT ethernet filter on
the DDS, however the filter's frequency is much too high
for my application. Back to the breadboard....
