From: JOEL DENISON (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Here is the latest on my new antenna and feed line.
The vertical (33ft with base 6ft off the ground and four radials) is loading
fine and I am hearing a lot of statioons. The inverted vee seems to be
working bettter with the twin lead (300 ohm foam center).(I had rg58u on it
I worked two ss stations on 80 mtrs. and the ant is loading on all
the bands I want. It will not load on 160 mtrs. Guess my little mfj can't
cut this particular set-up.
The 33ft vertical is very hot on 20 mtrs. (it's a half wave there)
The band sounded very good. I have a feeling I am going to dx like a bandit
THANKS TO ALL FOR THE SUGGESTIONS ON THE TWIL LEAD AND # Of RADIALS
THAT WOULD BE BEST. I am still at four but intend to jump to 8 when I can.
anybody needing Maine qrp just hollar, I HAVE two good ants now.
IF ONE DON'T GET U THE OTHER ONE WILL
