Fox not dead, just weak

Like Bob, AE4IC said, the Fox was barely breaking the noise level and
didn't really have a tone! Same here, gave him 449 but should have been
311...got 339 from him...and only abt 40 miles ground wave . Used TS850
at 5W. and W9GR DSP to drooping dipole at 20ft. Listened with NC40A and
could still copy but didn't try to QSO with it. Heard fellow ScQRPion
NQ7K work him as well as others who were much stronger with normal skip.
Freq was ~7038.98. Tues nite didn't hear a trace of the Fox here in
Sun City West...30 miles NW of Phoenix
