Never fails.. You call CQ. Station answers. Nice signal. You give
him 559. Sign HW? BK He starts to transmit... "OK PETE FB TNX ... " and
then fades into the noise never to be heard again. Never Fails..

I also noticed last night, as well as when I was FOX last year, you call CQ
and hear what sounds like 3-4 stations of decent strength calling all at
once. But you can't quite make out one complete call. Call QRZ? Nothing.
Where did they all go? Must be the power of all of the stations all calling
at once adds together to make one loud signal :-)

Looks like propagation was a bit longer later.. or simply the later time was
more compatible with the west coast guys. I was surprised to work NM and AZ
during the early shift. Must have been just getting dark out there.

Hope I didn't make too many typos in the log above. It's 12:45 AM I'm
going to bed :-)

Thanks to everyone who called.. and to those who I could not copy... We'll
try it again in February.
