While you're thinking about it, think about this -- some people with "more
advanced" licenses but shakey code skills feel more comfortable in the
Novice bands. Also propagation might be different and QRM will certainly be
different at the other frequency. I can't quantify it, but I believe I have
read messages where the people remarked that they couldn't hear the fox in
one spot but could in another. Finally, it's a hobby. I try not to get my
knickers in a twist over "elegance" issues. What's the harm in giving
someone a break in what is, after all, supposed to be fun?
