        I do too. I've had good success with an HW-9 to a B&W window
        mounted whip. Minimal enough.
        
        This is not a permenat installation; the antenna clamps to the
        bottom of the sill, and I dangle the counterpoise down from the
        mount (a 2nd story window). I mount and then retract the antenna
        into the house each time I use it. I can reliably work Europe and
        the west coast on 20, and have worked most of the US on 40. It is
        6 ft long, and has changable coils. I am careful to tweek the
        resonance of the antenna (using a swr analyzer).
        
        You'd be surprised what you can get out on. :-)
