When Rick wrote his R2 articles, claiming audio dynamic range approaching a CD,
I thought immediately that someday someone should come up with a DSP filter
based on HIGHER-QUALITY DSP's than the W9GR and its relatives. Why shouldn't
we use the DSP's that are now found in sound cards, various computer peripheral
boards, etc., etc.?
Probably because they cost more, and some folks don't see the benefit. Well, I
for one would love it; it would be the only way to get more flexible filtering
in the R2 without degrading the audio.
