Quite a bit of QRP hamming falls in the category of portable, quickly set up
stations and even some fixed operation is "stealthy". Both categories of
operation bear some resemblance to "spy radio" operation that took place
during WW2 and other recent wars.
Is there anything we hams can learn from those clandestine operations? Many
were QRP class, had hastily assembled antennae and more-or-less portable rigs.
Anybody know more about those radios, their antennas and tuners, and,
particularly, what frequencies they used?
Anybody know of any good books on the subject?
Just some Friday night ruminations.
