Hah !
Two years ago at a ham flea market, I paid $150 for
my HW-9 with P.S., WARC, speaker, and manuals.
That was 2 years ago before all these confounded QRP
clubs caught on.
The same rig is worth at least $250 today.
Last year an unmentioned (friend ?) picked up an HW-8
at the same ham fleamarket, in factory a box with P.S.
both mint at $20 for both.
But, have you ever won a lottery ticket ?
I was envious until I won an Alinco duoband handheld doorprize
minutes later.
By the way, I have used the duobander exactly 3 times.
It sits gathering dust, but used the HW-9 hundreds of times.
Moral...... You can wait forever to get a bargain, or
get what you want right now, without altering
your lifestyle.
Pay the going price, or less, and enjoy it now.
